The Fairhaven Care Home provides residential care in a homely environment for people of 65 years and above.
Fairhaven Care Home is situated just a short walk from the promenade of Colwyn Bay and within easy walking distance of the shopping centre, which has a good selection of shops.
The home is spacious, offering single room accommodation on three floors with 11 en suite toilet facilities. Rooms are spacious and offer a choice of colour and furnishing which can be personalised to suit residents’ individual choices and preferences.
There is lift access and corridors accessible for wheelchair users.
Fairhaven Care Home specialises in Residential care for the elderly through a person-centred approach service that focuses on maximising the potential and independence of residents.
Our Experienced care team is able to provide 24 hour care and support ranging from Daily visits to short stays and long stays.
At Fairhaven Care Home we offer a secure but homely environment, which ensures that all residents’ health and social well-being is promoted. You need not be alone at Fairhaven Care Home, you will meet new friends and have the opportunity of joining in with the regular activities and entertainment.

Life at Fairhaven
The original Victorian building has been maintained in a delightful manner, delivering comfortable and bright accommodation.
There are three lounges where residents can meet for a chat, watch films on the large smart screen television. One of the lounges is used for group entertainment including live performances from local singers, church service, quiz sessions and painting sessions etc.
We also have a dedicated hair salon with weekly appointments available with our hairdresser and chiropody service every six to eight weeks.

The level of care and support is tailored to our residents needs and preferences, and residents have a choice of participating in a variety of activities within the care home.
Fairhaven has been providing the service for over thirty five years. At Fairhaven, we want our residents to feel at home and for our residents to continue their lives as they would prior to moving into Fairhaven. Our residents are given choices and we respect their choices. We actively encourage visits from friends and relatives, with no time slots or limits. You can even invite guests to join us in our sociable mealtimes.
Short Stay
Short Stay is our temporary service. Short Stay care is offered to people to provide support and care for residents coming out of hospital or to provide a break for Families or their carers. Residents could be recovering from surgery, an accident, or not managing well at home. Fairhaven offers short stays, giving our residents the time to recover in a comfortable, safe and warm environment.
Short Stay Care is also an excellent way to provide a resident the opportunity to experience life at Fairhaven, to understand if Long Stay care is right for them.
We can accommodate urgent requests or planned stays – our team are well equipped to help you through the process and deliver the care and support you need.
Daily Visits
Daily Visits at Fairhaven are also here to provide relatives and carers a well deserved break between 10am to 5pm.
Our daily visits are open 10am to 5pm Monday through Friday. It offers older adults an opportunity to get out of the house and receive both mental and social stimulation, as well as the continuing care and support they need.
DINING
Dining experience is an important part of daily life at Fairhaven.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our catering and the range of choice available to residents daily, with menus carefully designed with nutrition in mind. We promote individual wellbeing through a positive and enjoyable dining experience.
We tailor menus to our residents’ individual needs and continuously adjust our offering based on resident feedback and specialist nutritional advice.
The day starts with a choice of cereals, toast, and a cooked breakfast.
At mid-morning, residents will be offered tea, coffee, and snacks such as biscuits and cakes. A range of hot and cold dishes are on offer at lunchtime. This is often followed by an afternoon snack, cakes, pastries, and fruit.
In the evening, each resident can choose from a wide selection of hot and cold meals. Snacks and drinks are available 24 hours a day to suit each individual’s needs.
